Story: The lighthouse pictured is actually the first incarnation of the Eddystone Lighthouse (off the Plymouth coast), which was designed and built by the eccentric inventor, Henry Winstanley who lived in Littlebury. The lighthouse was completed in 1697, but destroyed in November 1703 by a great storm, with Winstanley inside.
